Immediate help for Grandma

The entrance to Mediclinic Kloof.

Thank you to Ayanda from the Emergency Centre at Mediclinic Kloof who helped us with my grandmother after she was refused treatment at another hospital. We phoned Mediclinic Kloof and they immediately said they would assist. Thank you to Dr Lize Gouws, also from the hospital’s Emergency Centre, who went the extra mile to find the source of what was making my grandmother feel so ill. Mediclinic Kloof will always be our first choice.

I want to take this opportunity to give a big shout-out and thank-you to Mediclinic Limpopo for the excellent care I received during the week I was there – from the Emergency Centre staff, to neurosurgeon Dr Mabatane Thobejane, physiotherapists Ehab Mohamed and Henti Kgabe, and Unit Manager Brenda Ringani and the nursing team in Unit B: Enrolled Nurse (EN) Latoya Mothapo; EN Maria Buthani; Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA) Florina Manaka; ENA Agnes Makhubedu; EN Takalani Ravhele; ENA Tlou Mabotja; ENA Isaac Mashigo; Registered Nurse Wayne Warren; EN Nduvhuwo Savhasa; ENA Florence Ravhele; Senior Professional Nurse Nkatako Mothapo, and others I might have overlooked.

I also want to acknowledge the amazing canteen team, who gave a new face to hospital food, as well as the housekeeping team, who constantly made sure I had a hygienic and comfortable recuperation. A big salute and thank you!

Three days of great service

Mediclinic Thabazimbi received high praise for its service.

I was admitted to Mediclinic Thabazimbi on 10 January with COVID-19. I was also diagnosed with pneumonia and very high blood pressure. A big thank-you to the team at Mediclinic – especially the nursing and cooking staff… the food was yummy!

As a community, we are very privileged to be served by them. You are a great private hospital!

Joyful recovery

Seeing my son in so much pain due to tonsillitis just recently had me in a panic, but I had to be strong for him. He was refusing to eat – not because he wasn’t hungry, but because he was in pain.

I thank God we went to Mediclinic Nelspruit because he’s now much better thanks to the medication he was given. Seeing him playing and dancing when we took him back home gave me so much joy.

Daddy and Mommy will always be there for you my boy. We love you so much and we thank God for your recovery.

Thankful to be home

Cindy Robinson and daughter Nicole at Mediclinic Nelspruit.

I would like to thank paediatrician Dr Pierre Taljaard, Unit Manager Ilse Smith, Registered Nurse Beatrice Mbuyane, and all the other staff members at Mediclinic Nelspruit who made our daughter Nicole’s recovery possible. Big thank-you to you, “Babe” aka Warrick Robinson, and to everyone who kept supporting us – whether it was a message, phone call or a visit. This showed Nicole she was not alone and taught her to appreciate the small things in life we all take for granted.

It made me humble as a mom to realise how blessed we are to have medical aid – and friends, family and others who support you when you go through the ups and downs life throws at you.

Nicole had the simple rhinovirus, which is very common, and it just escalated into something far worse than expected. She had so many different symptoms that tests were a daily occurrence.

Now we have a happy, smiley, and healthy child back. Thank the Lord for the biggest blessing ever… a healthy child. We are so happy to be home.
