Our patients share their special Mediclinic moments and experiences.

POSITIVE STAFF = HAPPY PATIENTS

We were on holiday last year when my husband needed to be admitted to Mediclinic Bloemfontein. He was seen at the Emergency Centre and then admitted to Floor 5. As I was all alone in an unfamiliar city, the experience could have been an awful one, but the staff at the hospital made things so much easier. From the security person in the parking area, the porter, the admission staff and the nurses and doctor, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much. It is truly appreciated. All along I thought to myself: how on earth is management able to develop and maintain such a positive culture in a group of staff members? I’m not sure how, but it is making a huge difference to the experience of patients and their family members. Thank you again!

GRATEFUL FOR ASSISTANCE

So, my Thursday started off with an ambulance ride. Hip dislocated, in traction, bored out of my skull, fortunately no broken bones. Sorry wife and daughters about the fright you got.

Thank you Mediclinic, doctors and nursing staff.

Just grateful to everyone who assisted.

TREATMENT WITH A SMILE

I recently spent a couple of days as a patient in the ICU at Mediclinic Morningside. I was very happy with the facility and the treatment. In particular I’d like to mention the excellent service from Professional Nurse Nonhlanhla Sibisi and, frankly, the best of all, Professional Nurse Andrew Mwamba, who is a great asset to the hospital. There were others, too, whose names I did not get. They provide excellent service, with a great sense of humour and just the right manner of dealing with patients. Please inform the people concerned of my message – they are a credit to the hospital.

GIVING BACK

Staff at Mediclinic Paarl packed 39 food boxes for delivery to vulnerable people in the local area.

HEARTFELT THANKS

Hagar’s Choice is a place of safety for babies and children in need in Cape Town. Every now and then we receive a young one who requires extra medical attention. Little Autumn – abandoned at birth – joined our family at just three days old. Even with her severe formula allergy, three years later she’s still part of our team and recently required special scans to pave the way forward for her forever family placement.

That’s when Dr Slabbert, Dr Aggenbach, SCP Panorama Radiology and the team at Mediclinic Panorama stepped in. They not only approved pro bono work, but also coordinated a professional level of service to compile her scans. We want to thank you and your partners for investing in this little girl’s quality of life. May you, your company and the works of your hands be richly blessed in return for your generosity.
